Glory for Solo Glockenspiel. 2009. Opus 95 is respectfully dedicated to Peter Jarvis. The glockenspiel's unique timbre inspired me to conceive a composition that could justify and feature its delicate nature. My intention was to capture in sound the divine nature of glory within a predefined structure of five sequential episodes connected by contrasting cadenzas and pauses. Each of the episodes develops thematic and rhythmic ideas that recur and disappear as unifying elements of the developmental and cyclical aspect of the music.
