Sanoja: Derek McCorkell. Other. Each Time The Snowflakes Fall.
The candlelight it flickers, but nothing makes a sound
He'll be in his nineties when springtime comes around
A spark falls from the fire, and burns out on the floor
His friends they have all gone now , no-one call there anymore
His years they can be counted by the lines upon his face
A daughter and two sons they reared in this God forsaken place
Now he sits there with his memories and his eyes they slowly close
Where he goes to in his dreams , only he and his God knows
Chorus
His days are long and empty and his nights are lonely too
Since the day he lost his Rose the one true love he knew
Though that was many years ago the day the good Lord called
He still puts flowers on her grave , each time the snowflakes fall
His hands are twisted now with age, and his hair has turned snow white
In his mind he sees here there in the flickering candlelight
But ah it's just his memory, showing how things used to be
He knows that soon they'll meet again , once more his Rose he'll see
Chorus
Each Time The Snowflakes Fall
