The composer is given on the manuscript in Guatemala Cathedral as "Lanas" and is dated 1731 (could also be 1751). This must be the date the manuscript was copied, as it would be too late to have been composed by Dallo y Lana. According to Alfred E. Lemmon, this is a work by Dallo y Lana, although the compositional style seems too late to be written before 1705.
